Calder In Sache is a menswear collection designed for E. Tautz, a classic British menswear brand that has operated in its current form since 2012. The collection is inspired by the Sache, France studio and home of legendary contemporary American artist Alexander Calder, and is designed to fit in as a playful spring/summer collection for E. Tautz, whose Patrick Grant-designed spring collections often feature such ecclectic garments. Calder used his sprawling front lawn as a gallery space for his massive works, and I was hugely inspired by the interaction of the stark lines of his artwork with the natural curves of the French landscape, and looked to translate those into a whimsical but highly wearable collection.
